Formal Proposal, Statement of Work and Work Order

At eCorner we leave nothing to chance. Each project is started by reviewing the requirements and if necessary helping our customer to define the requirements. Following this process the requirements are reviewed at multiple levels within eCorner to determine that we understand all the issues relating to the project.  Once we have broken down the requirements into development tasks we then scope the project and produce a Statement of Work and formal proposal. These are communicated to the customer and then we undertake a requirements workshop to show how we intend to deliver each requirement.

Once we have resolved and agreed the requirements and statement of work we provide a Work Order with Terms and Conditions for the customer to agree. Once the work order is approved we formally initiate the project.

eCorner will then allocate internal resources to the project and undertake a project kick-off meeting. During the course of the development and testing project review meetings are held with the customer to match the work to expectation.

Multi-store and marketplace solutions

While most eCommerce applications are a single website tailored to your customer market, often businesses have a need for multiple online presences or aim to bring together communities of merchants onto a single portal.

eCorner have developed and delivered many multiple website applications using a range of different methodologies, including:

• Multi-store: utilises a 'master' store to maintain the core product data and inventory, but allows 'slave' stores to link to that store to access products and stock, and forwards orders back for processing. This allows businesses with multiple web presenses (i.e. different brands or target markets) to custom tailor the user experience for each site but centralise the management of products, stock and orders.
• Sub-shops: Similar to 'multi-store' in that products, stock and orders are centralised. Instead of having several separated online stores using the same core data, each of the 'sub-shops' resides within the 'master' shop so all business processes are shared including the shopping basket/checkout but a different design, catalogue and structure can be presented for each 'sub-shop'.
• Marketplace: a marketplace allows communities of merchants to come together and manage their own products, stock and presense with in the marketplace, while sharing certain core infrastructure and business processes such as a shared shopping basket and payment processes.
